During my individual exercise, the manager used various ways to motivate us. For instance, I always motivated us through praising the hard work of the students’ good work and gave significant feedbacks. Based on the excuses, it was clear that motivation played an important role in improving the performance of the students. Most of the elements of motivation lie within the internalized drive towards enhancing performance. Motivation directly links to the performance of individual workers working for the organization to handle an assigned task better. Exercises and tasks are completed well when the employees are motivated significance; organization runs due to the presence of employees. Each employee will help in the achievement of ultimate objective and goals of the organization. The factors, which influence the motivation of employee, related to the expectations of performance within the company.
If the employees are expected to perform better, they will feel challenged and motivated to work better in achieving the set targets. A successful organization should integrate strengths and motivations of employees to respond to the external adjustments and demand for employees to show their value. I discovered that it is important for the managers to understand the flow of the motivation, as it assists in the creation of a culture whereby employees are motivated to perform much better. Most importantly, leaders should understand the heart of the productive and successful business, which lies within an improved organizational culture, and people who collaborate to deliver great results. Researchers have developed different frameworks and theories of motivation.
One of the dimensions of motivation is training, which helps to teach skills and concepts useful in improving the overall performance of the employees. Persons with quality training would be willing to attend training, which promotes learning. The leader also praised us continuously, which formed an important aspect of employee recognition, which is important to fulfilling the need to appreciate the contributions of the employees. In the early stages of work life, motivation is an important element to understand positive behavior from the employees, which drives business success. Employee recognition is important in ensuring that employees are highly respected, and valued from their contributions.
The motivation of the employees could also include sending a message to the work team through formal communication channels to enhance employee performance and performance. Within any organization, it is necessary for employees to feel valued and appreciated through becoming loyal. The leader sought the different ways of appreciating the employees including the sending of notes to the employees. Motivation usually acts an activator for employees who work within the organization to promote organizational performance. The supervisor follows the affiliative and coaching style and guidelines, which are critical in enhancing job satisfaction.
Job satisfaction is another critical element of motivation I realized from my exercises. It involves the examination of the content of the job as they are linked directly to the motivational aspects of the organization. However, it is important to note that job satisfaction acts because of physical and interactive features. Within my exercise, job satisfaction is only determined by how well I could meet my job expectations. For instance, a good working environment could promote overall job satisfaction. Since, the employees will always try to give their best to enhance performance. To achieve my personal goals, motivation is important in achieving my goals within the organization. Therefore, with the right motivation, it will have direct positive impact on individual and organizational performance.

I worked as an intern in a marketing and advertising firm whereby I met a manager who followed the same managerial principle of motivating employees. During the internship program, it is necessary for the manager to work well with the employees. The manager of the marketing and advertising firm loved to interact and improve the performance of the individual employees as well as the entire team in the company. One of the main issues related to marketing and advertising is appreciating employees to motive them to come up with ideas that are more creative. I realized that the highly motivated persons were the most creative and innovative. Thus, the manager understood the need to motivate the employees well.
We also had weekly meetings on Friday to reflect on the performance of the week in the company. During the meeting, the manager gave verbal recognition of the employees who work well. It was critical in challenging other employees to improve their focus and performance in the upcoming periods. Most importantly, the manager worked mainly as a leader of the company to create long lasting relationships with the employees. For instance, the manager knew the names of all the employees the department. It was an important aspect of developing the confidence of the employees to deliver quality work and performance within the marketing unit.
Additionally, the leader used pacesetting style, which helps the employees to work responsibly in their roles. For instance, I used to see the manager work on the design and creation of marketing campaigns and advertisements. Seeing the manager working made the employees feel motivated and encouraged to work more. Since, the manager was a role model for promoting the overall performance of the employees. It is also necessary to understand the feelings of the people in understanding the specific decisions on other areas. For instance, flexibility is important in developing alternative options to have lasting decisions. In the marketing departments, the flexibility ensures that the employees will understand to work under different conditions.
The marketing manager was involved in the design of flexible schedules, which helped the employees to work better. The ability of the managers to interact and discuss with the employees was important in the effective decisions within the organization. I appreciate the ability of the managers to practice interactive management approach. Interactive management approach helps in overcoming different shortcomings within the organizations. Specifically, at the marketing unit, the employees were expected to work interactively and as a team to enhance performance. I usually saw that the employees who were working as a team were more productive than other employees who worked alone. Unlike experiences, the marketing manager interactive style of management is recognized in helping the employees to reach their goals. The goal of the employees is to help the managers and the organizations to meet their specific goals. The management approach would be useful in gathering information as well as diagnosing the current problem and challenges facing the marketing department.
Appropriately, the manager was well versed with the different issues related to the marketing industry in the economy. Thus, in most instances, he was able to teach and train the employees in the key areas of improvement within their marketing assignments. Coaching of the employees was a crucial element of motivating the employees. For instance, the manager trained me on the different marketing issues and aspects, which helped me to grow as a marketing associate. One of the management principles of the managers was to train and educate the employees on the relevant aspects needed to promote personal growth and development. I recognize the efforts put by the manager to train us on the key concepts and ways of doing work. As a result, the manager followed an interactive management and coaching style, which was important in promoting the performance of the individual employees within the organization.
